Levels of prevention
| Level | Goal | Example |

Sorting an intervention into the right level is a classic exam item. Vaccination = primary (prevents disease); screening = secondary (early detection); rehabilitation = tertiary (limits the impact of established disease).

Epidemiology & promotion
Incidence = new cases in a period; prevalence = all existing cases at a point in time.
